Limitations
They are not designed for use in medium to strong winds, however, with a 3+ panel door opening, by only having one door panel open, they can still be effective in moderate winds.
This works successfully as there is only one magnetic join in the opening which allows fresh air in, prevents flies from entering and provides easy no-hands access in and out.
In stronger winds it is advisable to not have doors fully open, as the screens will act like curtains and flap inside the room. They are fine in sheltered areas and in gentle breezes.
If there is movement it acts like the multi-coloured plastic fly screen strips to deter flies (these were popular in the 1960s & 70s).
Sometimes the magnets do not align immediately but flies are still deterred. The magnets will eventually fall into alignment.
The door fly screens are not designed to keep mosquitoes out at night (unlike the Bugout screens for windows, which do).
